For more than 40 years, Chris Searcy has been one of the most vigilant fighters for the families of wrongfully killed victims. By the age of 29, Chris had received his first million-dollar verdict in a personal injury case, becoming the youngest lawyer ever to receive such a large verdict for a single victim.
Chris graduated from the University of Virginia in 1970, and from Stetson University School of Law in 1973, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity.
Chris has tried more than 200 jury trials, and has received nearly 100 verdicts in excess of one million dollars for his clients.
Chris is past President of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a worldwide organization limited to just 500 attorneys by invitation only, and is named in The Best Lawyers in America, an independent study by Harvard trained attorneys. Chris has been selected as one of Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America. He is a member of The Inner Circle of Advocates, which is by invitation only and limits its membership to the top 100 trial lawyers in the United States. Additionally, he is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, as well as the International Society of Barristers, which is by invitation only to 500 of the top trial lawyers internationally.
In 2005, Chris was awarded the Perry Nichols award for his dedication to the cause of justice, and a year later he was awarded the War Horse Award from the Southern Trial Lawyers Association for his outstanding skills as a trial advocate.
In addition to his work in the courtroom, Chris is just as well known for his work with charitable and civic organizations, contributing both his time and resources to more than a dozen organizations that help disabled and ailing children and families.
