Paul Luvera has been active in some of the largest, and most difficult, legal battles that have taken place in courtrooms in the last several decades. The Washington State attorney general hand selected Luvera to act as lead counsel in the state’s litigation against the tobacco industry in the 1990’s, and after a 30 month jury trial, Luvera was successful in securing billions of dollars for victims in his state. His successful litigation against a Tacoma Chief of Police led to statewide changes in domestic violence laws and how instances of domestic violence are handled. He also represented victims of the DC beltway sniper as part of a pro bono case for the Brady Center against the gun industry. Paul has obtained numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts and record settlements.
